Every crisis is a gift!
Every problem is an opportunity!
Every adverse circumstance is my most valuable teacher!
The most challenging lesson I’ve encountered as an adult is the relentless instinct to survive, no matter how shattered I feel inside. Whether it’s fight, flight, or freeze, there are times when I feel utterly lethargic. Everything seems to pile up—the dishes, the laundry, and my racing thoughts.
It doesn’t matter if my heart is heavy with grief for a loved one or if I’m simply too exhausted to rise from bed; life refuses to pause for me to regain my breath. It marches on, indifferent to my suffering, leaving me with no option but to keep pushing forward, even when every fibre of my being yearns for a moment of respite.
What makes this even more difficult is the realization that no one prepares you for this struggle.
We grow up with the notion of happy endings, only to find ourselves confronted with the harsh truth that survival often involves masking our pain.
Perhaps the hardest part is not just enduring, but doing so quietly, concealing the weight we carry. Yet, amid it all, we discover a strength we never knew we possessed, for despite the heaviness, we continue to move ahead.
We dive into the fabulous world of breathing, scribbling our thoughts, chanting affirmations, having heart-to-heart chats with our reflections, and chilling out with meditation!
A better ME is a better WE, a better I is a better US.
