Weed

This weed is for eating not smoking

Poppies, hemp and darnel were scavenged, dried and ground up to produce a medieval hash brownie known as ‘crazy bread.’ So even as the poor endured hunger, it is possible that their diet provided them with some exotic and artificial paradises.

‘It was as if a spell had been placed on entire communities,’ according to one modern historian.” (p.102) The Year 1000: What Life was Like at the Turn of the First Millennium — An Englishman’s World, by Robert Lacey

Referred to as marijuana, ganja, weed or herb, cannabis is one of the safest medicines available today. Marijuana has been used for medicinal purposes for over 3000 years but only recently has it become a common and welcomed remedy for patients. Many studies are being conducted on the medical benefits of marijuana. It appears marijuana is a natural pain reliever and can help people with cancer, epilepsy, arthritis and other chronic diseases. With more doctors and politicians advocating for medicinal marijuana has likely helped changed the views of the public. There has never been a single recorded fatality from cannabis use in thousands of years of human history. No one has ever died as a direct result of ingesting cannabis or indeed concentrated cannabis oil.

What do you do when you have been constantly told that cannabis is harmful, addictive, dangerous and illegal?

Medical cannabis and particularly concentrated cannabis oils are illegal in many countries and therefore the choice comes down to breaking an unjust law or finding a cure. In the case of cancer sufferers, it can mean either risking arrest and prosecution or facing a death sentence from the cancer itself.

Cancer is still a leading cause of disease, annually accounting for around 15% of all deaths worldwide. Encouragingly many types of cancer are now treatable with pharmaceutical drugs, and survival rates across almost the entire spectrum have improved dramatically, however, these treatments are not guaranteed to work, are toxic to the system and expensive, furthermore for many types of cancer these synthetic drugs are proven to be inferior to cannabis oil which is far more effective, non toxic and can be produced at home for very little cost.

Cannabis prohibition is not about protecting health – it just may be about protecting corporate wealth.

The anti-tumor effects of herbal cannabis and cannabis oil extracts have been well known since at least the 1970’s, when the Medical College of Virginia reported on August 18th, 1974, that marijuana’s psychoactive component, THC, slowed the growth of lung cancers, breast cancers and a virus-induced leukemia in laboratory mice, and prolonged their lives by as much as 36 percent. Funded by the National Institute of Health to find evidence that marijuana damages the immune system, the study found instead that THC slowed the growth of these three types of cancer: The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) quickly shut down the Virginia study and all further research was halted.

Dr. Manuel Guzman in 1998, a research team at Madrid’s Complutense University discovered that THC can selectively induce programmed death in brain tumor cells without negatively impacting surrounding healthy cells. Further studies reported in the August 15th, 2004 issue of Cancer Research, the journal of the American Association for Cancer Research, that marijuana’s constituents inhibited the spread of brain cancer in human tumor biopsies. Led by Dr. Manuel Guzman, the Spanish team announced they had destroyed incurable brain cancer tumors in rats by injecting them with THC.

The research team reported in the March 2002 issue of “Nature Medicine” that they injected the brains of 45 rats with cancer cells, producing tumor’s whose presence they confirmed through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The rats treated with THC showed improvement within weeks of receiving the cannabis based treatment and the THC shrank or destroyed the tumor’s in the majority of the test subjects. Most cancer patients don’t know anything about the Madrid discovery, virtually no U.S. newspapers carried the story, which ran only once on the AP and UPI news wires, on February 29th. In Europe there was even less coverage of this ground breaking news.

There is no need to wait for more clinical trials and repeated stalling tactics by the multi-national drug companies.

According to The Stoner’s Cookbook … Herb:

There are at least two active chemicals in marijuana that have medicinal applications. Those are cannabidiol (CBD) — impacts the brain without any high— and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) — with promising pain relieving properties.

These powerful chemicals found in cannabis have massive medicinal potential.

They also state to keep in mind: The best way to get the medicinal benefits from marijuana is to consume it in an edible (not smoking it!!!).

Cannabutter, Cannaoil + Cannawhatever

Make some amazing edibles and get the maximum benefit possible from that cannabis.

Hooch Booch anyone? Make a tea and use for second fermentation of kombucha. Add to cultured butter, kraut brownies, canna-kefir + more

Big hugs to anyone on the cancer journey.
