My oh my, time flies! It feels like only yesterday when you were but a little munchkin, and now, you’re all grown up and walking into senior year!
I couldn’t help but shed a few tears as I watched you walk away from the car, memories of your childhood flooding my mind: your first steps, your first words, your first crush. And now, as you graduate, my tears aren’t of sadness, but of excitement, anticipation, and the purest love a mother can have for her child.
On this special day, I want to give you a few gifts, my dear son.
Firstly, the gift of freedom! You’re free to explore, to learn, to make mistakes, to fall, to rise, and to love deeply. No matter what you do or who you become, you’ll always have a place in my heart and in my home.
You’re my priority, and my presence and time will always be yours, whether in person or on the phone. And let’s not forget the most important gift of all: unconditional love without limits.
You’ll never disappoint me, and there’s nothing you could ever do that could separate my love from you.
I believe in you, always have, always will. You’re my greatest gift, and I can’t wait to see all the beautiful things you’ll accomplish.
So, my dear son, on your graduation day, know that my tears are tears of joy and anticipation for the journey ahead of you.
You have a purpose, and I’m so proud of the person you’ve become.
Congratulations, Thierry! I love you. Xo Mum
