Never underestimate the power of good food.
You learn a lot about someone when you share a meal together.
The connections and senses that are built when sharing a meal, whether it is with your family or with others, are powerful.
Food is not only meant to sustain and nourish us, but it is also meant to fulfil us and to use all of our senses.
It is intended to be pleasurable, sensual and enjoyable and to offer social connection.
Sharing meals is a fundamental component to our physical and emotional well-being. So as we sit down for dinner, whether with family, friends, or colleagues, I hope that we are all able to savour not only the flavour’s on our palates, but also the connections that we are building with people and our senses.
“He who distinguishes the true savour of his food can never be a glutton; he who does not cannot be otherwise.”
― Henry David Thoreau
