Watermelon Rind Pickles

What to do with the watermelon rind when finished eating the juicy fruit?

Lacto fermented watermelon rind pickles – just the right touch to a Charcuterie

What you will need:

  • Take a few garlic cloves (peeled and smashed)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ teaspoon peppercorns
  • coriander
  • dill and mustard seeds,
  • shredded cabbage
  • watermelon rind (brine if required – after massaging with salt / 2 tablespoons salt – 3 cups of water/ Bok choy juice).
  • We added some of our own grown organic banana skins.

Craft a Charcuterie Board

Play with colour, texture + space.

Almost everyone swoons over the beautiful colours in a well-constructed spread.

You can choose a theme, such as all warm colours or colours within a family of hues, or you can go wild, incorporating as many colours as you can.
