Appreciate every moment as it arrives

No matter what happens, how complicated life gets, don’t react out of unconscious old habits that lead to further struggles and pain.

“You have the power to heal yourself, and you need to know that. We think so often that we are helpless, but we are not. We always have the power of our minds. Claim and consciously use your power.”

–Louise Hay

Embracing your Inner Healing Power

Friends, you’ve probably heard quotes like the one above pretty often. And, it can feel like a type of bypass or victim-blaming to hear that your mindset has so much self-healing power when you’re deep in a physical, emotional, or spiritual struggle.

AND, there is SO much science behind the power we have to self-heal. Placebo data, anecdotal stories of physicians and their patients, and spiritual awakenings all point to the power of mindset as a lynchpin in our wellbeing.

Life is just molecules moving and consciousness. We literally are animated matter.

The term consciousness, but certainly, everything has a vibrational energy.

An immense amount of literature demonstrates that often, with what we would call living beings, they will modulate that vibrational energy in a manner that aligns with others around them.

While you could sit there and argue, this is woo-woo. The fact of the matter is that a significant amount of scientific evidence demonstrates that reality.

Everything has a vibrational energy.

We need to get outside of our prejudices, views, and limitations and understand that there are a lot of things we don’t see and accept as reality.

Do everything in your power to reduce your mental and emotional burden.

Your relationship to life and people are direct reflection of the level of your consciousness.

That’s why there is no such thing as relationship problems.

All relationship problems are problems with the self, with your own shadows and hidden traumas.

It has nothing to do with anyone else.

A physical wound, if properly tended or dressed, can heal. If untended, it can either remain raw or it may scar. The nerves may become numb to the touch. The same is true for emotional wounds (hidden traumas).

As a self-protective measure, we numb ourselves to emotions. We become scarred —sometimes for life.

What I discovered at the heart of my deepest pain and trauma was the exact opposite of what I had feared. My emotions were not something to fear and escape from; in learning to trust and open to them, unleashing their innate wisdom for healing.

Meditation trains your brain to be kind and compassionate

Now, research tells us that approximately 75% of the 60,000 thoughts we have on a daily basis are negative, disempowering thoughts.  They’re happening all the time.  And the key to living a good life, much like the key to an effective meditation practice, is to not entangle with those thoughts.  So if we can learn to separate ourselves from these thoughts, we can stop having as many of them or, at the very least, begin having more positive thoughts on a daily basis.

Repeating an exercise such as box breathing consistently for several days could help you avoid a panic attack, can lower your blood pressure, and can elevate your mood. These well-documented meditation results prove that self-healing is a thing, even if it may not heal a broken bone or open wound by itself.

There are many simple tools at your disposal to support your healing.

The Cork Meditation

One of the analogies that Abraham Hicks uses is that we spend the majority of our lives holding everything we want underwater, like a cork.

But when you let go of a cork that’s being held underwater, it naturally bobs back to the surface.

You don’t have to do anything to push it back up, it just surfaces on its own.  The same is true for the things we want to materialize in our lives – we don’t actually have to DO anything to create them.

I’m not saying action isn’t required, but that the actions we take become inspired, effortless actions when we’re coming from a relaxed, non-resistant state.

The goal of the Cork Meditation is to release the “cork” of your thoughts so that they may float back up to the surface.  When your cork is floating on the surface, it’s riding the “Great Wave of Life” in a flow state.  You have empowering thoughts, you make the right unconscious decisions, you find yourself in serendipitous situations and circumstances and naturally attract the right people and resources to help you achieve your goals.

It doesn’t feel like “work”, because it isn’t.

The problem with traditional meditation is that when we try to stop thinking about something, it creates even more resistance and defeats the purpose of the practice.  We have a greater propensity to think even more about the thing.  For instance, if you and I were in a room together and I asked you NOT to think about a pink elephant, that’s exactly what you’re going to think about.  In comparison, the idea behind the Cork Meditation works because it allows us to translate our thoughts, which are invisible in and of themselves, into a visual of a simple cork.  That’s because our brain operates in four different ways – thoughts, emotions, senses, and visuals.

Putting The Cork Meditation Into Practice
Step #1 – Sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes, and focus on your breathing, just like you would in a normal meditation practice.
Step #2 – When you notice yourself fixated on a certain thought, visualize a cork underneath the water.
Step #3 – In your mind, release the cork and watch it float back up to the surface.

That’s it.  All you do is let go of the cork and watch it float back up to the surface.  Do it as many times as it takes until you find yourself in a more relaxed state.  You’re not doing anything with the thought other than translating it into an image and giving you a scenario to play out in your mind.

Over time, what this does is break the pattern of thought.  It doesn’t happen by TRYING to break the pattern, it happens by repeating this second-long movie over and over again.  Every time you release the cork in your mind, you’re doing a rep in the “mental gym”.  You’re strengthening your ability to release and building a new habit of relaxation within your nervous system.  Over the course of 15-20 minutes, all you’re doing is releasing, releasing, releasing, and releasing.  In doing so, you’re building the capacity to more easily release the negative thoughts and emotions as you experience them on a daily basis.

Why This Works
This technique is a neurophysiological practice that leverages visualization, imagination, and meditation
in order to “train” your nervous system to put you into a relaxed, non-resistant,  Powerful State Of Being.  When you’re in this state, you’re able to think differently, perceive differently, feel differently, act differently, and naturally begin producing different results in your life.
Of course, you’re still going to experience the “monkey mind chatter”, but instead of continuing to deal with the invisible world of your thoughts, you’re simply triggering a little movie in your head – seeing the cork under the water, letting it go to the surface, focusing on it floating on the surface – and feeling what that feels like, knowing that it’s the most vibrant, authentic, aligned feeling you should strive to have as much as possible in your life.

Acceptance is the best path to move forward.

Individuals tend to project their shadows and traumas onto the world and then fault the world for its chaos.

I came across someone referring to the world as soulless not long ago.

It makes one wonder about the arrogance of the human mind.

Who should be blamed for the mess that humanity has created?

Folks, this life you are living is a story you are writing.

The pen is in your hands. The script is the words you speak and your story unfolds as you act.

Whatever you are experiencing is the result of your doing.

Your happiness, love, health and abundance is your doing.

Your sadness, disease and poverty is your doing.

Avoid becoming frustrated, angry, or placing blame on others for any situation or individual.

Recently, I’ve been contemplating the wise words of my beloved grandmother, Matilda Augusta Stein:

It is only within our power that we can grant ourselves happiness.

Many of us are hypercritical of ourselves, and these are in some ways evolutionarily related, but often, they go overboard and limit us.

Who we become as people is a collection of our experiences.

We are just starting to understand how prevalent “Toxic Shame” is in blocking us from becoming our most fulfilled and joy filled authentic selves. When we realise that we are coming from a place of insecurity, fear and lack it will not help us feel good about ourselves.

We think we know what we want and not having what we need.

So many want to change the world without the willingness to take responsibility of their own life.

At the end, it is the same for everyone, you are going to face yourself, alone.

No matter how many loved ones are around you, you will have to face yourself.

Our belief is the driver where your strength, power, guidance, and healing come from.

Our subconscious mind holds incredible power over what we manifest, but the key lies in breaking through the limiting beliefs we’ve internalized for years.

“WHEN I CHANGED HOW I LOOKED AT MYSELF, IT CHANGED HOW I LOOKED AT THE WORLD AND THAT CHANGED HOW THE WORLD REACTED TO ME.”

James Doty starts his new book, Mind Magic: The Neuroscience of Manifestation and How It Changes Everything (Avery, 2024), with an abrupt and clear statement to readers: The universe doesn’t care about you.

It’s unexpected coming from a world-renowned neurosurgeon and founding director of Stanford’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education, of which the Dalai Lama is the founding benefactor.

But it’s attention grabbing, and attention is what Doty, who is also an adjunct professor in the Stanford School of Medicine, wants his readers to think about.

When our attention is intentionally focused on what we want and why, change is possible, Doty says.
“It’s not about the universe, it’s about you,” he goes on to tell his readers.
According to Doty, our attention can be redirected in a way that can change our brains – literally.

With the right practice, we can strengthen our brain’s grey matter, the neural tissue that helps us learn and grow and ultimately leads us to realizing our potential.
In its most basic terms, this is what manifestation is all about.

The better you know yourself, the more you can consciously shape a life that is a good reflection of your joys, your passions, your values.

The more you understand yourself, the easier it becomes to determine if certain people, opportunities, or experiences align with you. This self-awareness allows you to walk away from things that don’t resonate with your heart, despite logical reasoning or societal expectations.

Knowing yourself well helps you identify your true desires and what genuinely brings you happiness.

This insight enables you to attract experiences that reflect your deep-seated wishes.

It also facilitates making necessary life changes, letting go of what no longer serves you.

In my life, I’ve made numerous unconventional decisions and gone against the norm.

While it was often challenging and uncomfortable, my clarity about my desires and identity kept me going.

Others’ disapproval or lack of understanding didn’t affect me much because I was confident in my choices.

By prioritizing my feelings above all else, decision-making became simpler.

I only considered how I felt about a situation, dismissing other factors my mind deemed important.

There are some questions only we have the answers to.

Those answers are in there, and this self-reflection and examination will give us access to that wisdom.

Who is this self?

Who are you?

What do you really want?

Is it aligned with my purpose?

Everything I want is already within me.

When you can focus on who you really are…a key to following your life’s purpose.

Unless you accept yourself and move beyond fear and pain, you will not be in a healthy mental state.

You are powerful.

Decide what is important to you.
Become that person and you will attract the same.

You must be authentic in this life or life will pass you by.

Every one of us has the ability to improve the life of at least one person.

“You know, you’re brilliant. You can do anything. I love you. I have confidence in you.”

I am safe, secure, loved & adored.

I am lovable, I am loved & I deeply & truly love myself.

Our stories can evolve/transform into our best life if we are willing to listen, hear & take action.

The Dalai Lama has said, ‘If you want to make others happy, be compassionate.

If you want to be happy, be compassionate”

Fundamentally, this intersects with manifestation.

When you are caring and focused on others, this actually is when your brain networks function at their best.

In addition, manifestation is not to be mistaken for magical thinking.

We still have to put in the hard work to make the changes we want into reality.

But it’s a useful, and at times necessary, first step in an ongoing process.

We may have come to believe that our inner power is limited by our external circumstances or our past conditioning, but in reality, it starts in our own minds.

1. Loss [making space]. 2. Repeating numbers [alignment]. 3. Emotional when feeling as if you already have ____. 4. Absent people from your past reappear. 5. Obstacles to test resilience [final exam]. 6. Butterflies appearing as a good omen of transformation. From – Bob Proctor

Take care, friends. Until we meet again, take a moment of gratitude for the healing potential of your powerful mind–that potential exists inside all of us–all you must do is find a way to open the door.

Much Love, Xo, Lynnie
