A selection of tasty snack jars

Yum Pot – ready to grab & go!

We keep a selection of yum jars in the fridge.

It makes a lovely addition to weekend or celebration brunch but equally wonderful dessert or any-time grab and go snack pot!

You can create many layers (Parfait) by adding left-over kefir smoothies if required thickened with chia.

This started in our kitchen when Thierry was a toddler and had his own small bar fridge and mama would load with food.

The chosen choices were mostly savoury and Thierry would often create dips mixed with cucumber pickles and other mix-ins in the empty jars that contained fresh veggie sticks and when asked ‘what are you eating?’ the reply ‘a magic pot full of yum’.

The magic begins

A creamy jar of nourishing coconut yogurt topped with raw cacao nibs.

Vanilla coconut yoghurt Add dash of Manuka /raw honey / date syrup and vanilla.

Fruit coconut yoghurt

Add ¼ cup pureed fresh or frozen fruit to 1 cup of coconut yoghurt.

 Stir to incorporate and enjoy!

Yum Pots

2 cups coconut milk kefir

3 tablespoons chia seeds

4 cups seasonal fruit

Sweetener if desired

Dash of vanilla

1/2 cup coconut flakes

Mix it all up, set in fridge for an hour or so and enjoy!

3 small avocados

1 cup coconut kefir

1/2 cup cacao powder

1/4 cup chia seeds, ground

6 soft dates soaked and pitted

Dash of vanilla bean powder or paste

Grind chia seeds in a coffee grinder / chia gel.

Place avocado, chia seeds, dates and vanilla in blender.

Add in half of coconut milk kefir and cacao powder.

Blitz all ingredients in a food processor / blender, if required, add more kefir, dates and/or cacao powder to achieve a taste and consistency that agree with your taste buds.

Spoon into jars and refrigerate overnight.

4-5 tablespoons chia seeds

2 cups coconut milk kefir

Cinnamon and cardamom

Blend except chia seeds – stir in leave for 10 minutes.

Stir in berries and sprinkle with cacao before serving.

Why not garnish with a few fresh berries or a sprinkle of cinnamon, aromatic rose petals, rose hips and crisp coconut chips?

•Layer with fresh berries or chia berry jam and kefir coconut cream

•Serve a dollop on top of ice cream

•Mix in whole chia seeds to make a porridge

•Use as a filling to top cheesecake base
